How To

We've started putting videos up on plant care and transplanting - search YouTube for Cactidirect or follow this link:

We get asked about shipping a lot - its something that differentiates us from many others.

Nobody likes to open a box with plants and dirt everywhere, so we take great care in packing our plants so survive even the roughest of trips.

We typically wrap each indivisual plant and its pot in recycled newpaper, enclose the top so that if the box does get flipped upside down the loose dirt is contained.

It takes a little extra time, but to us its worth it knowing we have a much better chance at delivering a good customer experience.

We are a small family owned and operated enterprise.  We work with a conscience.  We propagate without the use of fertilizers, insecticides, or herbacides.  If we do notice an insect issue, we use Neem Oil - a completely natural product derived from a tree that seems to work just fine.

Our boxes are made from 100% recycled material and made in the USA by a company who shares our values about reduction of carbon footprint.

We use 100% bio-degradable packing peanuts made from corn starch.

On occasion - we will reuse other packing material that came to home from less conscience suppliers of products, better its reused than go towards landfill.

....and soon, our electrical system that runs lights and air circulation for our greenhouse will be 100% supplied by PV panels - that were pulled from a rubbish bin, repaired and put to good use!
